Who are we?
Media by CUOL is an initiative run by the Digital Media Team, based in Coventry University Online.
We are an experienced media production facility whose primary function is to enhance the student experience through emotive, purposeful and accessible applications of carefully designed media. Established in 2017, our media content has been viewed worldwide by over 1 million online learners. Our skillsets and outputs are extremely versatile, with applications wider than standalone educational materials. We are a team with diverse backgrounds in broadcast, animation, journalism, photography, corporate and commercial video, all in addition to education.
Whether you’re producing a course, promoting services or hosting an exciting event (or anything else), we are your go-to media production team!
The DMT is lead by John Sinton, Head of Media Production for CUOL, and supported by Pete Austin and Eoin Edwards, Senior Digital Media Producers. The team consists of Digital Media Producers and Assistant Digital Media Producers, who hold the production management responsibilities and production skills respectively.
Other teams at CUOL including Learning Design and Content, Project Management, Platform Management, and beyond. Each team has a critical role to play in CUOL’s production of leading online degree courses.
In 2021, CUOL was ranked ‘Best in the world for online courses’ and in 2024 our courses reached over 1 million students in over 195 countries around the world.
